Science has outgrown it.

Papers fix knowledge in amber — linear, static, author-bound. The paper paradigm is over. They cannot represent the structure beneath a result: the competing hypotheses, the weight of evidence, the provenance of a claim, the conditions under which something is true, the entities and substances involved.

We're building a knowledge representation format and world model for science. Not a better document. A different primitive entirely.
